CHLOE MORIONDO

Starland Ballroom saw no shortage of standout artists in 2025, yet Chloe Moriondo carved out a moment entirely her own. An effortlessly magnetic singer-songwriter from Michigan, Moriondo brought her vibrant alt-pop flair to New Jersey on November 22nd, opening the night with her infectious charm and showing off a level of artistry that made her presence on the tour feel essential for Waterparks’ Prowler Tour.

Moriondo brought her bright, vivacious energy to every second of her show, kicking the set off with “abyss”. She wasted no time showing the crowd why she was the perfect opener, asking if she could pick up her bass for “Celebrity”, drawing fans in as she danced, sang, and shredded.

With influences including All Time Low, Paramore, and Avril Lavigne, Moriondo has thoughtfully crafted a seamless balance in her sound, bringing an intoxicating blend of indie rock and bedroom pop into something entirely her own.

Backed with just a drummer and a guitarist/pianist, Moriondo proved she needed nothing else to command every corner of the venue. She kept all eyes on her through “BodyBag” and “hate it”.

Fans started barking as Moriondo began her intro to “Hell Hounds”, which ignited an eruption of energy, carrying that rush straight into “Plastic Purse” and her cover of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi”.

Twelve songs left the crowd wanting more, but closing the set with “Oyster" and “I Want to Be with You” was the perfect finale, leaving the room buzzing with the kind of electricity Waterparks thrive on.
