There's no better way to spend a Tuesday night than with one of the most celebrated emo bands of all time. On October 21st, The I Can’t Hear You Tour made its way back to New York for Pierce the Veil’s Jones Beach Theater show. Three outstanding acts, Ecca Vandal, Like Roses, and HEALTH, opened the evening on the beachfront venue, each creating even greater anticipation for the headliner as the time grew near. The I Can’t Hear You Tour has dominated much of 2025, taking Pierce the Veil across multiple continents and countries, but it’s not over yet. There are still a few U.S. dates left on the fall leg before the band brings their electrifying talent to Mexico and South America this November and December.
At 9:15, Pierce the Veil made their hypnotizing entrance to their stage, adorned with a glittery drum set, their iconic “Collide with the Sky” album imagery on the monitors, and hazy red smoke that filled the stage floor. Fans, dressed in their best attire, were packed from the barricade all the way to the nosebleeds, intently waiting to scream their favorite songs as “El Ray” by José Alfredo Jiménez. The four-piece ensemble kicked off the show, immediately launching into “Death of an Executioner” followed by “Bulls In The Bronx” and “Pass the Nirvana” without a break, giving an unmatchable adrenaline rush in the first 20 minutes.
The band features Vic Fuentes, the charismatic frontman and guitarist, along with Tony Perry, the incredible guitarist, Jaime Preciado, the radiant bassist, and Loniel Robinson, the gifted musician behind the drums.
The collective energy of the crowd intensified as fans moshed, danced, and floated over heads, crowdsurfing their way to the edge of the stage. Each member kept the momentum as they fed off the exhilarated audience. As one song faded into another, including verses of “Where is My Mind” by The Pixies and their own “She Makes Dirty Words Sound Pretty”, Fuentes kept all eyes on him the entire time, entrancing the stadium from start to finish. Even with limited theatrics and stage design, Fuentes and the crew never strayed from their signature dance moves, including high jumps and even higher leg kicks. It was clear they thrived off these live moments and interactions with the audience as much as the fans did, utilizing every chance they could to stand on the speakers and platforms to get closer to their supporters.
Closing out the main set with their older, yet current trending hits such as “So Far So Fake” and “Emergency Contact” reignited the crowd yet again before an explosive three song encore of their all time classics, “Disasterology” “Hold On Till May” and “King for a Day”, a perfect ending for any Pierce the Veil fan. With this tour, Pierce the Veil proved once again why their legacy in emo rock continues to reign. No matter how many years pass, the band will always remain a place that feels like home
