Atlanta Gets One More Weekend of Big Music at Shaky Knees
As the last notes of summer linger in the air, don’t forget to stay for the encore. Festival season may be wrapping up, but for the dedicated fans who stick around shouting “one more song,” Shaky Knees delivers. On September 18-20, 2026, Atlanta’s Piedmont Park invites music fans to gather for a celebration of an international roster of rock talent and a showcase of the city’s culture. Music creates community, and there is no better place to experience that feeling than at Shaky Knees.
The 2026 Shaky Knees lineup is stacked with unbelievable and diverse talent worthy of hours of discussion. Among these incredible acts are three superstar headliners closing out each night. The Strokes will hit the stage on Friday, following the July release of their experimental and thought-provoking Reality Awaits. On Saturday, Twenty One Pilots are set to ignite the crowd with their genre-bending hits, including “Stressed Out”, a track that feels extra cathartic echoed across thousands of voices. Closing out the weekend, the creative animations and mechanical beats of the Gorillaz will make for a memorable finale.
Shaky Knees is far more than a showcase of music but also a gallery of Atlanta culture. Founded in 2013, the festival is now a landmark annual event nestled in a historic park central to the city. The event will spotlight cuisine from the city and beyond, with options for every taste. Enjoy hot chicken from Hattie B’s, delicious beverages from local gem Banjo Coffee, and sweet treats from Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Love among many other choices.
Hosting 45,000 people daily, the festival itself is sold out, but the city will feel electric even after the lights fade in Piedmont Park. Don’t miss your last chance to catch official Shaky Knees late-night shows in the community’s most cherished venues. Tickets still remain for The Two Lips at Masquerade, Modest Mouse at Center Stage, and a few others. Lasting and beloved music festivals are marked by an identity that keeps fans coming back year after year. Shaky Knees curates a lineup and atmosphere special enough to leave the city feeling the music through its bones.
