Sports: '26 World Tour Comes to The Social

Bringing their 2026 North American tour to Orlando, Florida, the Oklahoma-based duo, Sports, is an indie pop group known for their “dreamy, sun-drenched electro-pop.” Led by long-time best friends Cale Chronister and Christian Theriot, the duo just released their self-titled album Sports on February 20th, 2026; a project which marks the band’s first fully self-produced release since starting off in 2015.

The band brought their signature dream-pop sound to The Social on April 13th, with opener Chrissy, a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Chrissy started off the night with a sweet set, playing from her acoustic guitar and singing to the crowd with songs of love and heartbreak. Her coquette charm was a great start to the night as fans began to trickle into the venue.

As the room filled with anticipation for the headliners to step on stage, Sports made an incredible entrance with “Nice 2 Meet Myself (Bang Bang Bang)”, a song from their newest album. The stage itself was decorated with a polka dot background, and atmospheric lights adorned the set as they immersed the audience in their moody, chill sound.

The show slowly builds to a lively set, as the crowd danced and sang along to their favorite songs including “Panama”, “Keep Falling in Love”, and their number one hit with over 240 million streams on Spotify, “You Are the Right One”. The band also sang "Baby Baby”, a personal favorite and what drew many listeners to their music back in 2020.

With the fans remaining energetic and upbeat as the night goes on, the band concluded their encore with “Whatever You Want”, with Chronister jumping into the middle of the crowd, engulfing himself in the energy of the fans singing along and dancing right beside him.

The performance was nothing but fun, and getting to hear the band in action, their dreamy synth-pop sounding even better live, was truly a treat. Watching the crowd come alive was a highlight in itself, with each and every person absorbed in the performance. The band themselves were such a joy to watch and you could truly tell how dedicated they are to their craft and the music they produce.

Crediting their Tulsa upbringing for fostering their sound, Sports has come far in the indie pop world. With five albums under their belt, the duo shows no signs of slowing down and makes way to finish out their grand tour in the Southwest this year in May.
