Treefort Music Festival

Turns Boise Into a

Five-Day Festival Experience

Treefort Music Fest has a distinct energy that sets it apart from other music festivals.

The welcoming atmosphere, combined with the overwhelming number of artists spread across the 5-day festival, completely transforms downtown Boise, Idaho. Whether traveling far for your favorite artist or a longtime resident of Boise, the lineup had something for every music lover and inquisitive soul.

Crowds grew throughout the weekend, whilst headliners like Flipturn, Magdalena Bay, Geese, and Father John Misty brought devoted fans. Festival etiquette and mutual aid were ever-present, no matter the set you found yourself at.

The weather this year was also nothing to disregard; walking around sunny weather with a brisk breeze at night made it easy to fall in love with the festival. It felt impossible to imagine the rumored past festival year of snow and mud.

Aside from the music at the main stage, downtown Boise has tons to offer, no matter what you seek. Boasting 54 official venues, including 5 completely free stages and 265 events open to the public, the scale of this festival is nearly unmatched.

INJI erupted onto the mainstage with a dance party in the middle of the day that got everyone jumping around with the energy of a summertime house party with an energy that was unmatched the rest of the weekend. On Saturday, Gelli Haha exploded with Lisa Frank inspired designs and whimsical stage performance at the Treefort Music Hall late into the night. Another honorable mention is up-and-coming band Chanpan, who rocked the side stage all the way from New York with their new, genre-fluid sound that entices new audiences in Boise.

If you’re looking for more than music, Treefort also has you covered with Drag Performances, Yoga, Skatefort, Vintage Shopping, Filmfort, Comedy, and Storyfort alike. Treefort feels like the perfect music festival for interdisciplinary artists to explore and truly go wild.

For most of the day, the city also makes it incredibly easy to get around the expansive festival with free bus rides provided with your official wristband, affectionately referred to as the “Treeline” during the festival.  With a later start to the day, it is easy to stay downtown late into the night to catch more obscure acts and find your new favorite underground sound.

After attending Treefort Music Fest 2026, it seems like one of the most uniquely situated music festivals you can attend.  For all of the local support and contributions of venues alongside the vast genres of art you can throw yourself into, it truly is a weekend you should add to your bucket list.
