Good Neighbours captured the perfect blend of energy, entertainment, and heartfelt songwriting during their show in Charlotte, North Carolina at Amos Southend. The duo’s on-stage chemistry and charisma kept the crowd drawn in and engaged throughout their entire set. While prepping their debut album, Blue Sky Mentality, which released on October 3rd, this duo seemed to blow up overnight via TikTok, creating both new super trends and an environment that was exciting and refreshing to the Charlotte music scene on October 14th!

Opening with their popular song “Suburbs”, Good Neighbours immediately hooked the crowd. Their stage setup only further encouraged the crowd to dance, including an immersive experience as the duo went face to face and the crowd surrounded the barricade. Singer Oli Fox began the set by running around the stage, hitting the drums that were directly touching the gear of other member Kwassa who was playing multiple instruments. This set was dynamic, mixing energy and emotion that deepened the connection with the crowd.

Fox and Kwassa played 13 songs, including “Keep It Up” and “Ripple”, songs that took the internet by storm during their pre-release marketing strategy which was leaking their new songs to tiktok and blowing up their sound even before it was out. Throughout their set, this London duo proved that their growing buzz was well earned, performing with a similar confidence and execution of well seasoned headliners. It was apparent that every part of this show was planned through with, whether it be the lighting changes during hard hitting songs, or the set list.

What stood out most was the sense of community between fans, fueled by the band’s energy, excitement filled the room with an infectious, enthusiastic mood. The whole room was celebrating together, even the venue staff were dancing to the music behind the bar and at the door. Good Neighbours is a band that fed off of that thrill and utilized it within their own performance, a quality that left the crowd with ethereal memories.

By the time Good Neighbors began to close their set with one of their biggest anthem tracks, “Home”, the audience was fully immersed in their world. This duo left a lasting impression that suggests that their rise is only just beginning. As a growing music city, Charlotte was the perfect place for this band to take advantage of the symbiotic relationship that comes from an energetic set in a metropolitan area
